Getting Older
   

Like many others my age, I have Osteoarthritis.I also have Diabetes 2
My life is slower now I can do less, but life goes on and I am learning to cope in a positive way. I'm learning Photoshop now and making Artist Trading Cards

I've been doing Podcasts and have quite a few online.Currently I am turning my 68 and counting Podcasts into a book. These are free MP3 downloads some with Transcripts that detail the story of my life. A Podcast is sort of a recorded Blog. Many deal with current events. Mine deal with things that have happened to me over time, rather a long time at my attained age of 71.

The transcripts of these Podcasts are turning gradually into a book for family, friends and perfect strangers. I say perfect strangers because my little 7 ot 10 minute mp3 recordings get between 7,000 and 8,000 hits a month. 7% of those are from China where, I suspect, the are being used to learn English.

I am a member-at-large of the Red Hat Society, affliated with no group but still maintaining, I hope, some of the Red Hat spirit.

My hobbies are Crossstitch, Knitting, Cloth Doll Making, African Violets & Blues

When you are in not so good health words take on different meanings

Exercise means - only as much as you can comfortably do without risking a relapse.

Relaxation/Rest means scheduled rests, and learning to relax consciously

Diet means - not too many empty carbohydrates and try to watch your weight. Hard to do when you're sedentary.

Stress can mean anything from a phone call to a worked-related stress, Small becomes big.

Pacing is the vital art of using the small amount of energy you have wisely and well.

Memory Fog
which means lapses in concentration that produce goofs like the spelling of the word exercise in this Sampler

Think I know it's hard to do but thinking out a task can save miles of effort in the long run.
